1.0
INFORMATION OF THE PROJECT
The
total Contract Sum shall be of RM2,657,384.70 (Ringgit Malaysia:
Two Million Six Hundred Fifty Seven Thousand Three Hundred
Eighty Four and Cents Seventy Only) (“Contract Sum”).
The
Contract Period shall be for eight (8) months commencing
21st July 2009 and the actual works on site has
yet to commence due to certain compliance of conditions
as stipulated in the LA.
2.0
INFORMATION ON SYARIKAT BINA DAN KUARI KEDAH SDN
BHD
Bina Kuari is a wholly
owned subsidiary of BDB and was incorporated on 5th
November 1973 under the Malaysian Companies Act 1965
as a private company limited by shares.
The
Company is principally involved in road building and quarry
operations and is a Class A Civil Engineering Contractor.
3.0
INFORMATION ON THE PROJECT
(a)
Contract Sum
The
Contract Sum is provisional and shall subject to re-calculation
based on final quantities and approved work done on site.
(b)
Performance Bond
The
total amount for Performance Bond requires to be furnished
is at RM132,869.24 being 5% of the Contract Sum.
It can be issued in the form of Bank Guarantee or
Performance Guarantee.
(c)
Other Requirements
i)
Bina Kuari is required to insure all its plant and
equipment;
ii)
To ready with Works Program within 42 days from the
date of the LA;
iii)
Registration of all the Employees under Employee’s
Social Security Scheme and to furnish their registration
numbers.
4.0
FINANCIAL EFFECT
The
Project is expected to contribute positively to the earnings
of Bina Kuari.
5.0
DIRECTORS AND SUBSTANTIAL SHAREHOLDER’S INTERESTS
None
of the Directors and substantial shareholders of BDB and
Bina Kuari or person connected to the Directors and substantial
shareholders have any interest, whether direct or indirect
in the said Contract.
6.0
DOCUMENTS FOR INSPECTION
The
said LA may be inspected at the Registered Office, Aras
9, Menara BDB, 88 Lebuhraya Darulaman, 05100 Alor Setar,
Kedah.
